Sustainable innovation is essential to meeting customer demands; ASSA ABLOY uses its Sustainable Innovation Practices to build sustainability in the product innovation process.
We strive to minimise waste everywhere possible. Our mantra is: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. This allows us to focus on driving waste up the hierarchy to avoid waste generation in the first place. In Europe, Middle East and Africa, 15 of our sites have achieved Zero Waste to Landfill. To validate this claim, we appointed the internationally recognised NGO, Carbon Trust, to independently verify our Zero Waste status.
We are leading the way towards a more transparent and sustainable global industry with our participation in the EPD program, with more than 250 environmental product declarations published for multiple product categories across the Group since 2008.
